Jiro (Nagakura Kenjiro)
Career History
After graduating from university, I worked for the international division of a major construction company as civil engineer for around 24 years. During this time, I spent 14 years working abroad, collaborating with staff from over 20 countries with different customs and cultures, on six challenging international construction projects. In 2021, I retired early, ending this exciting life, and moved to Nagano Prefecture, a place I had wanted to live in for a long time. Since then, I have started a business providing guide services for international tourists, leveraging my multicultural communication skills and international experience.
Personally, I love activities that allow me to enjoy nature from the sea, land, and the air. Currently, I’m able to fully enjoy the charms of Nagano through cycling, trekking and paragliding. I have also experience walking the World Heritage pilgrimage routes of the Camino de Santiago and the Kumano Kodo (Certified as a dual pilgrims).
I use my experience to help our guests easily enjoy the nature, culture, and history of Japan.
